Industrial and interior designer responsible for the 32-story Pirelli Tower in Milan, together with Pier Luigi Nervi and Arturo Danusso; it is the second skyscraper of the city.
He founded Domus magazine in 1928, of which he served as editor until 1941. He then wrote Stile magazine until 1947, returning to Domus in 1948.
