Huyen Trang was born in Hanoi, and has been in love with soccer since she was 14 years old. After that, she quickly became the mainstay of the Vietnamese national soccer team from 2000.7 years later, she retired from the competition with the achievement of 2 gold medals in women's team, women's doubles at SEA Games 22 and 2 gold medals at the 2005 World Championships. In 2012, Huyen Trang returned to the Vietnamese sports village in the colors of the soccer team Da Nang until she was discovered to have cancer.
At the end of 2013, Huyen Trang was at the peak of her career, full of happiness, when she suddenly received news that she had breast cancer. After nearly a year, Trang's health declined a lot. She was diagnosed by doctors of 108 hospital with polyarthritis of the spine and bone tuberculosis. At that time, Huyen Trang had brought home many titles from the regional to the world level for the Vietnamese sports village in general and the shuttlecock sport in particular. But because of a serious illness, Trang's family's finances were almost exhausted. Her parents had to consider selling their house to pay for their daughter's treatment.
When Huyen Trang discovered that her illness had progressed to the final stage, she often made friends with the hospital bed. radiotherapy and regular chemotherapy injections. After 2 years of treatment, it seemed that Miss Vietnam had overcame this terrible disease. But, fate like to play with people, the cancer has metastasized to the bones, could not let go of Huyen Trang.
