In 1993, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien joined FPT Corporation after graduating from University of Technology in Information Technology. At the age of 26, he held the position of Sales Manager of FPT despite his very young age.
In 2001, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien decided to quit his job at FPT to study in the US for 3 months. Chairman Truong Gia Binh then did not advise to stay or promise to appoint another position, but only Saying one sentence correctly "Let's go to school!" makes FPT not lose people but also gain. When going to school, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien had the intention to do something special when he returned. Returning from the US, Mr. Tien helped FPT Sales Department make a big change, contributing great revenue to the Corporation.
In 2002-2003, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien held the position of Deputy Director of FPT. Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2003-2008, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien was the General Director of FPT Distribution Co., Ltd. He made an important contribution to FPT's goal of achieving 1 billion USD in revenue in 2008.
From 2007-2012, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien was General Director of Hoa Hi-Tech Park Development Co., Ltd. Lac FPT.
In 2012, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien held the position of Chairman of FPT Software. In 8 years, FPT Software under his management achieved an average growth rate of over 30%, becoming one of the 500 largest software companies in the world, Top 100 leading trusted service providers in the world. .
On March 3, 2020, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien was elected to hold the position of Chairman of FPT Telecom, replacing Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc who had previously resigned.
In addition, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien is also a Lecturer on the topics of Strategic Management, Fire Transmission, Leadership... of the Institute of Management and Technology. He is considered as one of the 3 most desired lecturers in 2016 thanks to his attractive, engaging and natural teaching style.
