Nguyen Thi Trinh is a young face from Nghe An, who attracted attention when winning the Second Prize of the "Elegant Youth" contest at the Cuong Temple Festival in 2023. Possessing an outstanding appearance and a face that many people commented had beauty reminiscent of the image of Thuy Kieu, a girl born in 2005, quickly received the attention of the online community. However, behind the advantage of appearance, what Trinh is aiming for is not only a modeling job but also a professional acting career.
At the "Elegant Youth" contest of Cuong Temple Festival 2023, Nguyen Thi Trinh and Vo Nguyen Yen Nhi won the Second Prize, while Le Thai Bao Khanh won the First Prize. This achievement became a memorable milestone, helping her image become more known. With her bright appearance and ability to appear naturally in front of the camera, Trinh then had more opportunities to work in the field of photo modeling.

The turning point in her acting journey was the role of Ly in the TV series "That Summer". To get the role, Trinh went through three rounds of casting before being officially selected by the crew. According to her, each audition round is not only an opportunity to express herself but also helps her better understand the character she wants to play. When she heard that she was selected, she felt happy because it was the result of serious preparation.
The first time entering a professional filmmaking environment also brings many challenges. While modeling mainly requires the ability to express, pose and work in front of the camera, acting requires the actor to live with the character, maintain emotions and adapt to the pace of the crew. In particular, the character Ly in "That Summer" has a personality quite different from Trinh's real life personality. In the movie, Ly is an open, active and proactive girl expressing her emotions. Meanwhile, in real life, Trinh is somewhat introverted, quiet and often observes more than expressing emotions. Therefore, the biggest challenge for her is to step out of her familiar personality area to find the right energy source for the character while still maintaining naturalness in each scene.
To prepare for the role, she spent time understanding Ly's psychology and putting herself in many different situations instead of just trying to express emotions in a mechanical way. After each scene, she listens to comments from the director to adjust her performance. This process helps the young actress understand that acting is not simply memorizing lines, but also a process of understanding the character and conveying emotions convincingly.
The first days on set also helped Trinh learn more practical lessons. She had the opportunity to observe and learn from the director, actors and crew members. From studying the script, discussing before each scene to how to stay focused while working, all become valuable experiences for a new actor. After her first experiences in front of the camera, she clearly determined that acting was the path she wanted to pursue long term. However, instead of setting the goal of quickly becoming famous after her first role, she chose to move forward step by step, accumulating experience and improving her abilities through each project.
Her work as a photo model also gives her a certain foundation. Thanks to regularly working in front of the camera, Trinh has more confidence when appearing in front of the camera. Trinh does not want to be known only as a beautiful face with the ability to act, but wants to assert herself with her acting ability and seriousness about her profession. This is also the reason she pays a lot of attention to learning, honing her skills and finding suitable roles to challenge herself.
On her journey to pursue art, her family is an important source of encouragement for her. At first, parents were worried when their daughter chose a career with many challenges and no clear stability. However, when witnessing her daughter's perseverance, effort and serious attitude, her family gradually became a spiritual support for her to continue pursuing her choice.
