Both a chef and food writer began hosting the popular PBS cooking show Yan Can Cook in 1982. He received an Honorary Doctorate of Culinary Arts from Johnson & amp; University of Wales and has won a Daytime Emmy Award as well as two James Beard Awards for Best TV Food Journalism and Best TV Show Cooking.
He was a guest judge on Iron Chef Vietnam, Top Chef, Kitchen and Iron Hell American Chef. He has written more than a dozen cookbooks.
