Irish composer and conductor known for his short orchestral works, including "Echoes of Georgian Dublin", which was inspired by Handel. His play "Cadenza in Black" premiered at the Gate Theater in 1937. He was a conductor at the School of Military Music after joining the Irish Army in 1923. He would resign from the army in 1931. .
