Do Dung, born Do Hieu Dung, is a musician and conductor. He was the former Director of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra.
Conductor Do Dung is the person who built the first professional choir of the Vietnam Symphony - Choir - Ballet Theater. He is an experienced conductor, having conducted and staged many Vietnamese and international musicals, dances and symphonies.

In 1946, Do Dung followed her family to Cho Chu in Thai Nguyen province. Here, he had the opportunity to interact with musicians such as Nguyen Xuan Khoat, Do Nhuan, Trong Loan... At the age of 7.8, Do Dung was taught the first notes by musician Nguyen Xuan Khoat. .
In 1949, Do Dung attended the School of Cadets in Viet Bac. After that, he was sent to study violin in Guilin - China. After the country was unified, Do Dung and 100 Vietnamese children were sent to study culture and music in the Soviet Union.
From 1980-1983, musician Do Dung studied composing and conducting advanced studies at the F. liszt Institute (Budapest, Hungary). In 1984, he returned home and assumed the position of Director of the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra.

Do Quyen, the first daughter is a journalist - Music editor of the Vietnam Television's Arts Department, At the same time, he is an art documentary director, a member of the Vietnam Composers Association, majoring in Theory - Criticism. The second daughter, Do Pha Le, learned from her mother's profession, and is currently an actress of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, majoring in cello. The youngest daughter, Do Ha Linh, studied at the Hanoi Conservatory of Music for many years, then moved to the US to study abroad, now settling in Michigan.
