Dong Den, born Nguyen Van Kip, is a hero of the Vietnam War. He participated in revolutionary activities and joined the forces of the Liberation Army of South Vietnam, he grew from a soldier to a battalion cadre and achieved many great achievements such as the Battle of Airport Tan. Son Nhat night on February 2, 1966, destroyed 200 contemporary aircraft, dozens of military vehicles, wiped out and injured 400 American officers and soldiers, 250 officers and soldiers of the Republic of Vietnam, aroused public opinion at that time. After this face-to-face battle, he was awarded the Third Class Victory Medal by the Central Committee of the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam.
