Jamal Musiala (born 26 February 2003) is a German professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Bundesliga club Bayern München and the national football team. Germany.
Born in Germany to a Nigerian father and German mother and raised primarily in England, Musiala represented both Germany and England at youth level, and ultimately committed loyal to the German national team for future matches in February 2021, representing the team at UEFA Euro 2020.
Musiala was born in Stuttgart, and lived in Fulda, Germany until until the age of 7. He later moved to England with his family, where he spent most of his childhood. He attended primary school at Corpus Christi School in New Malden. Later in high school, he attended Whitgift School in Croydon. Musiala spent most of his childhood years at Chelsea's youth academy.
In July 2019, at the age of 16, Musiala left Chelsea to join a family. join Bundesliga club FC Bayern München. On June 3, 2020, Musiala made his professional debut. On 20 June 2020, he made his Bundesliga debut against Freiburg and became the youngest player ever to play for Bayern München in the Bundesliga, at the time he was 17 years and 115 days. On 18 September 2020, Musiala scored his first Bundesliga goal in an 8–0 win over Schalke, becoming the youngest goalscorer for Bayern, 17 years and 205 days, breaking the record previously held by Roque Santa Cruz. , 18 years 12 days.
On 3 November, Musiala made his UEFA Champions League debut for Bayern München as a substitute for Thomas Müller in a 6–2 away win over Red Bull Salzburg . In November 2020, Musiala was called up to the national team for the first time. England U-21 national team at the age of 17, to participate in the qualifying matches for the UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship.
On 24 February 2021, Musiala announced reported that he had decided to represent his country of birth, Germany, to attend international matches. After that, he was called up to the National team for the first time for the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers in March 2021.
