Young / Before famous

  • He came from a peasant family. He studied Confucianism at a young age, then transferred to the national language, and then attended high schools in My Tho and Saigon.
  • Year. 1905, after passing Thanh Chung, he took the exam to enter the record rank of the Cochinchina Governorate; worked as a scribe, interpreter, gradually promoted to governor of the imperial palace (1936), used to hold the position of district chief (district chief) in many places.
  • August 1941, after he retired, was invited by France to be an adviser with the title of Parliament of the Federation Council Indochina and Deputy Director of Saigon City, at the same time as the director of newspapers propagandizing for Franco-Vietnameseism.
  • After re-occupying the South in the year 1946, Cochinchina Autonomous Republic was established, he was invited as an advisor to the government of Nguyen Van Thinh. When Nguyen Van Thinh's government collapsed, he retreated to his hometown to hide and dedicate the rest of his years to his literary career.
