Nguyen Ha My was born in 1994, hometown of Hoai Duc (Hanoi) and is currently a 3rd year Master's student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music under the guidance of Dr. People's Artist Do Quoc Hung. Nguyen Ha My has just won the First Prize of Group B (for ages 24 to 32) of the National Chamber - Musical - Choir singing competition in 2023. The activity was coordinated by the Department of Performing Arts with the Musicians' Association. Vietnam, Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, Vietnam National Academy of Music organized with 60 contestants from 19 art units participating in singing competitions.
For an artist whose greatest passion is to become a true opera artist like soprano Nguyen Ha My, the country's largest competition for this music genre is the Chamber Singing - Musical Competition. - National Choir is always a goal to aim for and be determined to conquer. That's why Nguyen Ha My came to this 2023 Competition proactively.
Winning the prestigious competition, Nguyen Ha My confided very humbly: "I know what it's like for other people, but I personally don't feel proud of myself at all, if I have any feelings at all. Sharing about her plans after achieving success at the competition, artist Nguyen Ha My said her greatest passion is to become a true opera artist. I dream of playing "Miss Sao" completely - The first Vietnamese opera that I absolutely love, " Ha My said.
In the immediate future, Ha My will try to complete the Master's program at the Academy. This will be an impressive and elaborate program with 16 technically and internally challenging works. Along with that, she will also continue to participate in community-oriented opera performance activities to help this type of music become more familiar to domestic audiences.
