She started performing locally and acoustically when she was a teenager. Her first run with the home of electronic music was in 2007 with the single "Tien Me Away", a collaboration with DJ Chris Lake. It was on the Airplay Billboard Hot Dance for 50 weeks and even reached number 1 in the United States. In 2008, she became the lead singer of a rock band called Hourly Missing and they released an album of the same name. She was never really comfortable there, so they disbanded, and she focused solely on electronic music.
She was born and raised in Geelong, Australia, but moved to Los Angeles to further her career. Her brother Anthony also moved to Los Angeles and also writes electronic dance music.
