Baba Vanga's real name is Vangelia Pandeva Dimitrova, after marriage she changed her name to Vangelia Gushcherova, a world-famous prophet.
Baba Vanga is a very intelligent person. She grew up like any other child, but at the age of 12 she was permanently blind after being swept away by a storm and tossed her into a field. In 1925, she was taken to a house for the visually impaired in Zemun, Serbia. Baba Vanga has lived here for 3 years and has been taught braille, sewing, piano playing, cooking and cleaning. In 1939, she was infected with pleurisy, after many doctors who examined her diagnosed her with an early death, but in fact she recovered very quickly. During the years of World War II, Ms. Vanga helped many people find the bodies of their loved ones. On April 8, 1942, Bulgarian King Boris III personally went to see Mrs. Vanga.
On May 10, 1942, she married her husband, a man near Petrich named Dimitar Gushterov. After her marriage, she and her husband moved back to live in Petrich. In 1962, her husband died. On August 11, 1996, Baba Vanga passed away. At her funeral, many people and high-ranking officials visited and took her to her resting place.
Baba Vanga was the one who predicted the collapse of the Soviet Union, the day of Stalin's death, Tragedy. Chernobyl disaster, the sinking of the Russian ship Kursk, and Topalov's victory at the international chess tournament. Before her death, Baba Vanga also made a prediction that soon a baby would appear in France, who would inherit her prophetic ability. In 2009, a newspaper in France reported about a girl who has the ability to talk to aliens and especially she can see the future.
