Singer, songwriter, and guitarist who is known as the lead singer and guitarist of the pop punk band Motion City Soundtrack. He formed the band in 1997 with fellow bandmate Joshua
Cain. In 2015, he and the rest of the Motion City Soundtrack released their 6th studio album, Panic Station. It peaked at #18 on Billboard's Top Alternative American Albums.

He was born and raised in Mahtomedi, Minnesota. In 2015, he and his wife, Lindsay Pierre, welcomed an infant daughter, Max, into their family.
