Who is Singer Dang Thuat?
Singer Dang Thuat (born 1979) in Tien Dien town (Nghi Xuan), graduated from the Faculty of Vocal Music - Vietnam National Academy of Music in 2007, and is currently a singer with the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) Music Troupe. ). He won second prize in the folk music category at the final of the 2007 National Sao Mai Competition.
For more than 20 years, singer Dang Thuat has always been loyal to folk music. Since the album vol 1 "Ben Cuoc" (2013) to vol 2 "Return to my hometown" has just been released, Dang Thuat is still immersed in the songs of his homeland and country and spreading his love for folk music.
Dang Thuat said many audiences once advised him to switch to singing youth music, Bolero music to "warm up" his name. However, the male singer is confident that he has his own folk audience. Dang Thuat plans to boldly take another step forward with folk music. If there are duets with new breath, he will invite famous female singers of this music genre to sing with him.
Singer Dang Thuat is considered a rare male voice in Vietnamese folk music. The songs he performs always leave a distinct impression on audiences who love this music genre. He is known to audiences nationwide for many songs with Nghe - Tinh folk influences.
Along with his work at VOV, singer Dang Thuat regularly appears in many music shows in his hometown of Ha Tinh. After many years of diligent dedication to art, singer Dang Thuat was honored to be awarded the title of Meritorious Artist by the State.
Singer Dang Thuat said: "I feel honored and happy to be awarded the title of Meritorious Artist by the State. Having achieved today's results, along with my own efforts, I am always grateful to my teachers, including teacher Le Gia Hoi, who was posthumously awarded People's Artist on this occasion. This is the gift I want to give to my homeland. I am proud of the cultural traditions of my hometown Ha Tinh, the "milk" that has nurtured my soul and love of art to grow up. The title of Meritorious Artist is the motivation and responsibility for me to strive and contribute more to art in the coming time.
