Born in a refugee trip in the US, then she moved with her family to Michigan state to settle down in 1992 when she was just 18 months old. She loved music since childhood and was sung by her parents to Vietnamese songs while in the car or through CDs and DVDs. It is also thanks to the awareness of being a girl of Vietnamese origin that Thuc Linh has learned her mother tongue from Karaoke discs and communicates with everyone in her family in Vietnamese. Perhaps that's why even though Thuc Linh studied English at school, Thuc Linh still spoke her Vietnamese very well. When she was 8 years old, Hoang Thuc Linh had her first performance in community music activities, the first song she sang was Y Van's song 20-40.
For Thuc. Linh, although not born in Vietnam, but to her sister, she always feels close to this land, she loves the beauty of the Ao Dai and Vietnamese dishes cooked by her parents such as pho, Hue beef vermicelli, vermicelli and fish sauce,... Besides, she also loves the Vietnamese language and the songs in her mother tongue that she performed
At the age of 13, her family moved to the small town. State of Arizona and Hoang Thuc Linh continued to participate in singing in community activities. When she was older, Hoang Thuc Linh started singing at tea rooms and casinos. In addition, Thuc Linh also participated in a beauty contest and won the runner-up position at the Miss Ao Dai contest of the Vietnamese community in Arizona.
Hoang Thuc Linh's singing career began to change when in 2009, she was invited by Van Son Center to collaborate, then thanks to her friend, she has been cooperated by Asia Center and has been with this center until now.
Besides her singing talent Thuc Linh also knows how to play the piano, classical piano and compose some English songs. Currently, she has also graduated from a university in Arizona with a major in Administrative Management and plans to continue to graduate school in the near future.
