Tong Yuqi, also known by her stage name Yuqi, is a Chinese female singer currently active in Korea. She is a member of the South Korean girl group (G)I-DLE founded and managed by Cube Entertainment. Currently, Tong Vu Ky is dating fellow group member Kim Minnie. She is fluent in three languages: Chinese, Korean and English.
Before becoming a member of (G)I-DLE, Tong Yuqi attended Beijing 101 Middle School, served as President of this school's Street Dance Club. When she joined Cube Entertainment, she passed the Cube Star Audition in October 2014 in Beijing, China. On August 23, 2017, she was introduced in Cube Tree. After that, she appeared in CUBE x SOOMPI Promotional Video of Rising Legends. She also participated in a short video of Dingo Music and appeared on Dingo Music with a performance. In June 2017, she appeared in the promotional video of Rising Star Cosmetic with Shuhua and Minnie. On April 5 of the same year, Cube revealed that they would release a new girl group with the name (G)I-DLE. In 2018, Tong Vu Ky officially became a member of the group (G)I-DLE - a Korean multinational girl group. Group (G)I-DLE officially debuted on May 2, 2018, with their first EP called "I am". In which, she is the lead singer and dancer in the group.
