Pew Pew's real name is Hoang Van Khoa, the leading Streamer - Caster in Vietnam. Anyone who follows the news and movements of the gaming and esports markets is familiar with the name Pew Pew. The journey from an Australian student, overcoming many difficulties and challenges to become the top BLVgame in Vietnam of a boy born in 1991 made many people admire.
The first hero in DOTA that Pew Pew played as the main character. is Invoker. When DOTA2 appeared in the million dollar tournament "The International", Pew Pew joined the DOTA community in Australia. Pew Pew joins amateur DOTA team City Hunter. Every Thursday, the Net shop near where he lives holds a DOTA Party event, gamers in the vicinity come to compete with each other. Before Team Pew Pew started fighting, they needed a cheerleader and he volunteered to do it. The commentator career came to him unexpectedly. He suddenly realized that he could become the Vietnamese version of "Tobiwan" (famous BLV in Australia). Pew Pew applied to Gamestah, which specializes in providing BLV for Game tournaments, which is also where Tobiwan is working. After 2 weeks as an English Caster, Pew Pew had the idea to cast the game in Vietnamese. Pew Pew self-taught how to stream, worked seriously to launch the Pew PewVn stream channel on TalkTV. Pew Pew has to put in a lot of effort with part-time daytime and nighttime casting. He decided to turn BLV game from a hobby to a career pursuit.
Starting was very difficult, ,machine was also a problem that made Pew Pew a headache. He put money into buying a core i3 chip rig, playing DOTA 2 with less than 20FPS. Internet connection at that time was not good, upload was only 250kb/s. The audience watching the stream only saw it dimly, but still a lot of people cheered, proving that they watched with passion for DOTA 2.
Pew Pew worked more professionally, becoming the official BLV for many DOTA 2 tournaments. He organized a tournament that until now is still a proud milestone "Vietnam Champions League" for the first time. Tickets sell game commentary through Valve, the ticket sales amount is up to 40 million VND.
Including the time working abroad, Pew Pew has been with the BLV chair for more than 5 years. It's not a long way, but it's enough to mark a big step on his career path (A passionate editor). Pew Pew has a huge fan base. After many years with Caster, Pew Pew officially announced his retirement. "This was one of the hardest decisions of my life," he said. This is considered the saddest news for DOTA 2 in particular and the Vietnamese gaming community in general.
New news: On August 8, 2019, Pew Pew announced that it would officially "|retire soon" from entertainment industry, turning to business development. This information made many fans feel sad when he was at the peak of his career.
