Soopi is a human streamer Korea is famous on the AfreecaTV and Youtube platforms, and is a partner of the IAMBRAND organization. She has been with PUBG since 2020, rising to become a top gamer solely thanks to her intelligence and outstanding personal skills.

Before revealing her appearance, Soopi attracted the community's attention thanks to her stable performance and impressive ability to handle situations during livestreams. The big turning point came in 2022, when she officially appeared in public. Just 6 days after revealing her appearance, Soopi received a total amount of support of up to 44 million won, (about 838 million VND)

Noisy between Soopi and Vietnamese PUBG players at PUBG Asia Stars 2026

On September 17, streamer Soopi accused two Vietnamese players Himass and TanVuu of "streaming" within the framework of PUBG Asia Stars 2026. However, according to the recorded livestream cut, Himass and some Vietnamese streamer members asked members of the tournament organizers before competing, "Can they stream or not?" At this time, the organizers did not have an official answer, and the competition rules (rulebook) of PUBG Asia Stars 2026 also does not explicitly prohibit this practice.

On September 18, Krafton issued a decision to punish Himass and TanVuu, causing the drama to explode violently. The verdict issued one day after Soopi's accusations was very severe: Himass and TanVuu were excluded from the remaining events of the tournament, and both of them were stripped of their PUBG Partner status in Vietnam. Streamer Rambo - a member of Team VIE participating in PUBG Asia Stars 2026, posted a post defending his juniors by releasing images showing that Soopi himself, the person who initiated the denunciation, also showed signs of "streaming" when opening the tournament broadcast channel on the browser during the competition. In order to put pressure on the organizers of PUBG Asia Stars 2026, the Korean team announced that they would not participate in the tournament to support Soopi.

On September 19-20, the Vietnamese gaming community was angry because of the unfair punishment decision from the organizers of PUBG Asia Stars 2026, the tournament was later cancelled.

On September 20, Soopi released video evidence, but it backfired. Soopi posted a video on YouTube to provide evidence for her "streaming kick" allegation. However, this move was not effective in appeasing public opinion as expected. On the contrary, the Vietnamese gaming community reacted even more harshly, when it was discovered that Soopi herself also showed signs of viewing similar stream information during competition but was not handled by the organizers in a corresponding way.

On September 21, Krafton asked Himass and TanVuu to apologize. After the drama showed no signs of cooling down, two players, Himass and TanVuu, apologized with a public post on Facebook. Afterwards, streamer DJ Chip - a member of Team VIE and coach of the PUBG Vietnam team, spoke up on the livestream and said that the two gamers' apology was requested by Krafton.

On September 21, Korean media stepped in, fanning the cross-border controversy. JTBC Television (Korea) broadcast a news report about the incident, which used the phrase "cheating" to describe the behavior of two Vietnamese players.

On September 22, Krafton officially apologized publicly and accepted responsibility for the incident.

PUBG PC representative, Ms. Yoon Soo-jin, and Krafton Group representative posted an official apology. In the announcement, Krafton admitted:

Fully responsible for aggravating the incident by not clearly defining the competition rules from the beginning.
Handling the case hastily, lacking transparency, not explaining clearly to the parties in both Korean and Vietnamese.
There are shortcomings in the operation of the tournament, causing unnecessary pressure on individual players.

On September 23, the final punishment was a permanent ban on Himass and TanVuu, even though the tournament previously had no ban regulations. Immediately after that, the gaming community, many famous streamers and organizations were dissatisfied and protested.

After that, Soopi became the target of cyber attacks by Vietnamese PUBG audiences. Facing a wave of negative criticism, Soopi admitted that she was a victim of bullying. The female streamer announced that she would temporarily stop livestreaming and return to her hometown to rest after the controversy related to the ban of two Vietnamese players at PUBG Asia Star. She will officially return to broadcasting around September 27.
