World-renowned sexologist who founded the Sex Research Institute at Indiana University in 1947 and compiled statistical research on his subjects' intimate behavior. His books, Sexual Behavior in Nam Nhan and Sexual Behavior in Male Humans, are considered forerunners of the sexual revolution that occurred more than a decade later.
He developed the revolutionary Kinsey Scale, which measures an individual's sexual orientation on a range of 0-6, where 0 is exclusively heterosexual and 6 is exclusively gay. He was the subject of the 2004 film Kinsey, where he was playing Liam Neeson.
