Who is Vietnam War Hero Ngo Chi Quoc?
Ngo Chi Quoc is a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam, used to hold the position of deputy scout squadron of 303rd Battalion, 330th Battalion.
Ngo Chi Quoc was born into a poor fisherman family. In March 1946, Ngo Chi Quoc joined the revolutionary ranks. During the years of revolutionary activities, he participated in more than 100 battles, with his comrades captured 38 enemies alive, killed 941, and seized 231 guns of all kinds. In any battle or in any circumstances, comrade always upholds the spirit of courage, ingenuity, courage, determined to destroy the enemy's army.
In April 1952, during the battle of Cau Dinh, at this time, he was seriously injured, so before he could get out, he was captured by the enemy, he was brutally tortured by the enemy, many times thought he was going to die. However, he still resolutely refused to declare, and tried every way to escape from prison. Comrade and comrades escaped from prison twice and with 7 cadres escaped and returned to their units.
In March 1954, the battle of Cau Dinh took place for the second time, the enemy deployed a powerful army, we has overpowered many times to spread news to challenge the soldiers we hit. Comrade commanded his teammates to hit the 3rd fence, then broke it all out, but there are still 2 more fences that have not been broken. Comrade did not mind the danger, crawled up, cut one end of the fence with scissors, and then went up to pull the fence out to give our troops a chance to charge up. When the enemy saw this, they shot out with their guns. Ngo Chi Quoc was hit by bullets and fell down, while our troops were still unable to enter. Ngo Chi Quoc handed the gun back to his comrades, then rolled in the other direction alone before the enemy's fire, and shouted to charge! When the enemy heard that, he thought our troops had turned to another direction, so they concentrated all their firepower on the side of the comrade's shout. Comrade Ngo Chi Quoc made a heroic sacrifice. Thanks to that, our unit rushed to destroy the enemy's army.
Ngo Chi Quoc was awarded the First Class Victory Medal by the Party and State, and was rewarded many times by battalion and regiment and was elected as emulation soldiers in the unit.
On May 7, 1956, Comrade Ngo Chi Quoc was posthumously awarded the Military Merit Order, second class and the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
