Le Hien Tong's real name is Le Tranh, he is the eldest son of the king Le Thanh Tong, mother is Huy Gia Thuan, Queen Nguyen Hang, the second daughter of Trinh Quoc Cong Nguyen Duc Trung.
In 1497, when King Le Thanh Tong died, Prince Le Tranh ascended the throne and took the title Canh Thong. Le Hien Tong was an intelligent, kind and peaceful king.
