Ha Thu Dau's playing career is full of glory and endurance. Competing from the age of 18-41, Ha Thu Dau is a rarity of Vietnamese volleyball and deserves to be the bridge connecting many generations of women's volleyball in the country. Ha Thu Dau was a member of the national team from 1994-1999.
Ha Thu Dau played for the Viet Tri Port team, which competed in the A1 tournament for 5 years. By 1991, due to lack of operating funds, the team was on the verge of dissolution. Ha Thu Dau was suggested by coach Nguyen Manh Hung to join the Hanoi Post team. In the new club shirt, together with the Hanoi Post Office, she won the national championship for 3 consecutive years from 1996-1998. The success in the shirt of the Capital Volleyball Club is the launching pad to bring her to the national team. Participating in the two SEA Games 1995 and 1997, Ha Thu Dau and his teammates won bronze in 1997.
Ha Thu Dau announced her retirement from the top athlete career in 1999 when she was just 30 years old. After more than 10 years of monopolizing the position of owner in both the club and the national team, Ha Thu Dau quit playing to get married and give birth to her first child. Ha Thu Dau returns to work as an ordinary Postal employee. The idea that Ha Thu Dau really became the past of Vietnamese women's volleyball. The dust of time thought it erased the name that was once famous. Unexpectedly, in 2003, Ha Thu Dau appeared in the shirt of Industrial and Commercial Bank of his biological teacher Nguyen Manh Hung. In the new shirt, Ha Thu Dau suddenly won the MHB Cup in 2006. Ha Thu Dau won the title of the best athlete of the tournament. Ha Thu Dau is really the masterpiece of Vietnamese volleyball. Her fighting style is very annoying, usually when participating in the attack, Ha Thu Dau observes the enemy's barrier and then improvises.
Although she is still full of desire to win more glory, Ha Thu Dau has ended his career as an athlete when he announced his retirement in 2010 at the age of 41. After completing the international coaching course, Ha Thu Dau continued to pursue volleyball as an assistant coach. Currently, Ha Thu Dau is the assistant coach of the Industrial and Commercial Bank team. Ha Thu Dau has twice worked as an assistant to the national team head coach.

Different from sports athletes, Ha Thu Dau did not come to volleyball following her childhood passion or family tradition. After graduating from high school, Ha Thu Dau set a goal to pass the exam to the University of Law or the University of Culture with the dream of becoming a lawyer or librarian. The unsuccessful university entrance exam made Ha Thu Dau's life turn in another direction. With an ideal height of 1m76, her brother is athlete Ha Khac Hung competing for the Thanh Ba Cement team Vinh Phuc province introduced to Viet Tri Port team to practice. From here, the career of one of the best owners in the history of Vietnamese volleyball begins.
