Jason Momoa full name is Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa, is an American actor, director, model, and film producer. He is known to the public for his role as Ronon Dex on the military science fiction television series Stargate Atlantis from 2004-2009, and as Khal Drogo in the HBO series Game of Thrones.
In 1998, Momoa was discovered by designer Takeo Kobayashi and encouraged him to follow a modeling career. In 1999 he won the Hawaii Model of the Year award and became the host of the Miss Teen Hawaii pageant. At the age of 19, he worked part-time in a store before auditioning for the movie "Baywatch Hawaii". In 1999 he appeared as Jason Ioane in the action TV series "Baywatch Hawaii". After that, he was invited to participate in many films such as: North Shore, The Game, Johnson Family Vacation, and Stargate: Atlantis.
Jason Momoa is the director and co-writer of "Road to Paloma", a 2014 action-thriller, working with Jonathan Hirschbein and Robert Homer Mollohan. March 23014 he participated in the movie "Sugar Mountain" with the actors Cary Elwes and Haley Webb. He is also the one who plays Phillip Kopus, in the TV series "The Red Road" which was broadcast on SundanceTV from 2004-2005.

Jason Momoa grew up in Norwalk, Iowa under the care of his mother. After graduating from high school, he attended college in Iowa to study marine biology, and spent time studying in the Florida Keys. He later transferred to Colorado State University.

Jason Momoa's mother, Coni, is a photographer, and his father, Joseph Momoa, is a painter. His father is of Native Hawaiian descent, while his mother is of mixed German, Irish, and Native American ancestry.
In 2005, Jason and the actor Lisa Bonet acquainted each other after being friends Their referrals and they developed a relationship. On July 23, 2007, Lisa gave birth to their first child, a girl named Lola Iolani Momoa. On November 15 of the same year they celebrated their marriage. From his marriage to Lisa, Jason became the stepfather of Zoë Kravitz. On December 15, 2008, their second son, Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa, was born.
