Nido Qubein is an entrepreneur, public speaker and President of High Point University since 2005. He received an associate degree in business from Mount Olive College, where he is a member of ΔΠΔ (Delta Pi Delta). In 1970 he received a degree in Community Relations from High Point University and a Master of Science degree in business education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Bryan School of Business & Economics in 1973. In 2009 Nido Qubein received an honorary doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is also the founder and honorary president of the National Speakers Association Foundation. Nido has been the chairman of Great Harvest Bread Company since 2001 and has been a member of the Board of Directors of BB&T since 1990 and La-Z-Boy Corporation since 2006.
Since 2005 Nido has been The 7th President of High Point University. Under the leadership of Mr. High Point University, there has been a great change when the number of lecturers increased 3 times compared to before and the number of enrollments also increased 3 times compared to before. In addition, he established four more schools. In 2013, businessman Nido ranked 3rd or 4th in the list of university presidents with the highest income of the year with his actual income of 2.9 million USD.
In 2006 businessman Nido Qubein was inducted into the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, along with Oprah Winfrey, and the founder of Starbucks , Howard Schulz. In 2000 he received the Toastmasters International Hammer Gold Medal. In 2012, he was honored to be awarded the American Revolution Americanism Medal.
