In 1909, he invested in a new field of river transport business, Mr. Bach Thai Buoi has leased three ships Phi Phung, Phi Long, Khoai Tu Long of a Frenchman, R. Marty when this company's contract expires and runs the Nam Dinh-Hanoi and Nam Dinh-Ben Thuy routes. In 1915, he acquired R. Marty's shipyard and repair shop; With 7 years of business, he has created a closed model from train operation to shipbuilding, ship repair with many branches in many places. In 1916, he moved his headquarters from Nam Dinh to Hai Phong and established the "Giang Hai rotating Bach Thai boat company" ". Besides, he was also the one who designed and built the Binh Chuan ship himself - the largest ship at that time.
His company increasingly expanded its business to all regions of the world Indochina and neighboring countries such as Hong Kong, China, Japan, Singapore...
