Tran Qui Thanh is a Vietnamese businessman, the founder and CEO of Tan Hiep Phat Beverage Group - a leading company in the FMCG field in Vietnam, and also one of the largest private enterprises in the Vietnamese market. He graduated from University of Science and Technology majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Later, he successfully defended his PhD in Business Administration from Southern California University (USA). On April 10, the Investigative Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security issued a decision to prosecute the accused and executed a house arrest warrant for Mr. Tran Qui Thanh and Ms. Tran Uyen Phuong (Deputy Director of Tan Hiep Ward). Phat), and at the same time prosecute the accused Tran Ngoc Bich. Both defendants Tran Uyen Phuong and Tran Ngoc Bich are the daughters of Mr. Tran Qui Thanh. All 3 defendants are investigated for the crime of abusing trust to appropriate property, related to denunciations of fraud and appropriation of real estate projects of great value at Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh city.

In addition to running Tan Hiep Phat Group, businessman Tran Qui Thanh is also a giant in the real estate industry. In June 2017, he joined the Board of Directors of Saigon Real Estate Joint Stock Company and owned 478, 482 shares of this business. After this period, Tan Hiep Phat established 11 businesses with charter capital of about 19,000 billion VND to invest in real estate. At the end of 2019, Tan Hiep Phat won the auction of the right to use the land with an area of 8ha in An Hai, An Hoi, and Con Dao districts with an auction of VND 537.33 billion. Mr. Thanh's daughter, Ms. Tran Ngoc Bich, also won two auctions of nearly 3 hectares of land in Dat Do and Con Dao districts in February and March 2020.
