Sharing an interview with New Straits Times, keeper Farizal Marlias affirmed that the Malaysian team has excellent qualified players and there is no big difference between the players, especially as in AFF Cup final first leg against Vietnam.
Sharing more about the team Farizal Marlias affirmed "Malaysia is a comprehensive and quality team in all aspects of the pitch. In the recent match, the absence of Aidil Zafuan, Syahmi Safari and Andik Syazwan is not a concern for us, because the replacement names have done an excellent job, "said Farizal.
On December 11, 3 of the 4 key players where coach Tan Cheng Hoe's defense could not continue to play. While Zafuan and Syazwan suffered from hamstring problems, Safari was outside cheering for the team because of the red card received in the semi-final second leg against Thailand.
Not only. Proud of the strength of the home team, goalkeeper Farizal Marlias even boldly said that he would make the Vietnamese team hate it at My Dinh's home ground like what Harimau Malaya created in 2014.
"The Vietnamese team was very fierce when playing in Hanoi, but our team defeated them in 2014. That time Malaysia lost at home but won in Hanoi. Due to that, our dream of winning the championship is still here", New Straits Times quoting goalkeeper Farizal Marlias.
However, before thinking about the championship, he did not forget to remind the team to avoid repeating the same mistakes as in the first leg final.
"We have to be very careful. It is important not to lose the ball in important positions like the match pick up. Vietnamese players are very responsive and agile, some even possess excellent technique. We will have to focus on not making mistakes if we don't want to be punished in the next game," Farizal reminded.
