Football player Le Ngoc Bao

Ngoc Bao's childhood was associated with a family situation that was not too favorable. He once shared that his father passed away early, and the family only had mother and child. Football came to Ngoc Bao from simple soccer matches in his hometown, before the boy Phu Yen had the opportunity to enter the professional training path. Around the age of 12, he left his hometown to join the PVF training facility. This is a big turning point for a young boy who has to leave his family to pursue his dream of becoming a professional player.

The first years at PVF were not entirely favorable. Ngoc Bao once said that there was a time when he was in a group of players at risk of being eliminated. However, instead of giving up, he continued to practice and find ways to improve himself. The training process at PVF helped Ngoc Bao build a technical foundation, tactics and competitive mindset, while also opening the way for him to enter professional football.

In 2016, Le Ngoc Bao started his professional career with Than Quang Ninh. At that time, the Mo land football team was one of the ambitious clubs of the V. League. Although he has not had many opportunities to play in the first team, Ngoc Bao is still named in the Than Quang Ninh team that won the National Cup and National Super Cup in 2016. These are the first titles in the professional career of the player from Phu Yen.

After Than Quang Ninh, Ngoc Bao moved to Can Tho. This is the period when he has more opportunities to play and begins to accumulate practical experience in professional football. Being able to play regularly helps the young midfielder become more mature in his ability to compete, read situations and adapt to a highly competitive playing environment.

In 2019, Ngoc Bao returned to the PVF football environment through Pho Hien Club. This is an important turning point in his career. At Pho Hien, Ngoc Bao had many opportunities to play and gradually became an important factor in the defense. He was even trusted by his teammates to be given the captaincy despite being quite young. The performance at Pho Hien helped Ngoc Bao get into the sights of coach Park Hang-seo and was called up to U22 Vietnam to prepare for the 2019 SEA Games.

SEA Games 2019 in the Philippines became one of the most memorable milestones in Le Ngoc Bao's career. In the U22 Vietnam squad led by coach Park Hang-seo, Ngoc Bao played in defense and made 5 appearances in the tournament. U22 Vietnam then won the SEA Games men's soccer gold medal, creating a historical milestone when Vietnamese men's soccer won the gold medal for the first time at this playground. For Ngoc Bao, the 2019 SEA Games gold medal is a particularly important achievement, marking the maturity of a player who was once at risk of leaving the training facility.

After playing for Pho Hien, Ngoc Bao joined Binh Dinh at the end of 2021. At the Vo team, he has the opportunity to play more regularly in the V. League and compete with many experienced players. The 2022 season sees Binh Dinh become one of the notable teams in Vietnamese football. Ngoc Bao and his team won third place in the V. League and reached the final of the National Cup. This period of time helped him accumulate more experience in a top football environment and perfect his ability to play in a three-center-back system.

In March 2024, Le Ngoc Bao joined Nam Dinh Green Steel. This is one of the most notable moves in the career of the midfielder born in 1998. Nam Dinh owns a highly competitive squad and sets high goals in the V. League. Ngoc Bao quickly integrated into the Nam team and headed with the club towards the championship race. At the end of the 2023/24 season, Nam Dinh was officially crowned V. League. For Ngoc Bao, this is the first national championship in a period when he has matured and has a clearer professional role.

After the 2023/24 season, Ngoc Bao went through a period of many changes in the club. He returned to Binh Dinh and then transferred to PVF-CAND on loan. Returning to PVF-CAND has special meaning because Pho Hien, the predecessor of PVF-CAND, is where Ngoc Bao made a breakthrough in his career and was called up to U22 Vietnam. At PVF-CAND, he continued to compete in the First Division and maintained his form before entering a new chapter at Ninh Binh.

From the 2025/26 season, Le Ngoc Bao plays for Ninh Binh FC. On this team, he continues to play a role in the defense and is one of the options for the left center-back position. In the 2025/26 season, statistical data records that Ngoc Bao has 16 appearances in the V. League, of which 13 are main matches, with a total of about 1,230 minutes of play. In the 2026/27 season, he continues to be on the Ninh Binh payroll and is on the list of the Vietnamese team to be called up in September 2026.

After a period of not appearing regularly in the team, Ngoc Bao returned to coach Kim Sang-sik's call-up list in 2026. In March 2026, he was called up to the team and had the opportunity to play in the FIFA Days series. In the match between Vietnam and Bangladesh on March 26, Ngoc Bao started and played the full 90 minutes.
