Football player Jeremy Doku profile

Who is Football player Jeremy Doku?
Jeremy Doku or Jérémy Doku is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a forward for the Belgium national team and Premier League football club Manchester City. He is a rookie of Man City with a different style of play compared to Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva. Perhaps one day, Kyle Walker will no longer be Man City's fastest player because Doku's acceleration is really too impressive, even for Kyle Walker.
Doku made his debut for the Belgian national team on September 5, 2020 in the UEFA Nations League match between the Belgian national team and Denmark. Three days later, he scored his first goal for the Belgian national team in a 5–1 win over Iceland. At UEFA Euro 2020, Doku was on the bench against Denmark in the group stage, but was later named in the starting XI for the next match against Finland. He started the match against Italy in the quarter-finals, which Belgium lost 1–2 on aggregate. At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Doku only appeared in the last round of the group stage against the Croatian team. However, the Belgian national team then left the tournament with 4 points in third place in Group F.
Before becoming Man City's newest rookie, Doku used to attract a lot of attention from the "big guys". Jurgen Klopp once stated that Doku is an alternative to Sadio Mane. In January 2017, Doku even came close to becoming an Anfield rookie after visiting Liverpool headquarters, meeting Jurgen Klopp and Steven Gerrard. For the Man City club, Doku is considered a strategic backup. This player born in 2002 is suitable for counter-attacking style and fans know that it goes against Man City. Because most teams, when facing Pep's army, choose to play defensively. However, when facing equal opponents, especially in the Champions League, Doku's strengths will be fully exploited. Pep can also make a bold choice to change Man City's style of play. Pep often used a "virtual 9" but then changed it to a tall striker, Erling Haaland. Pep's wingers often have certain similarities with midfielders, such as Grealish, Silva and Phil Foden. However, Doku was more of a dribbler than a distributor, more of a sprinter than a bouncer. In short, the appearance of Doku in Man City's squad will make this club much more unpredictable this season.
