Doctor Ngo Van Hieu

Ngo Van Hieu was born in 2002 in a difficult countryside in Thanh Hoa. The family does not have special economic conditions. He has been known to the online community since 2020, when the story of his friendship with Nguyen Tat Minh spread widely on social networks and media. The two have been classmates since childhood, their houses are about 100 meters apart. Minh unfortunately has a mobility disability, so during many years of schooling, Hieu often carried his friend to school, helping him overcome difficulties in study and life.

That simple but persistent action has made the image of Ngo Van Hieu become a beautiful symbol of friendship in the eyes of many people. However, behind the story of carrying his friend to school is a male student with remarkable academic achievements and a dream of becoming a doctor that he has pursued for many years.

In 2020, Ngo Van Hieu participated in the high school graduation exam and scored 28.15 points in the B00 combination. However, this score was 0.25 points short of the standard score of Hanoi Medical University at that time. Hieu's story at that time received great attention, there were even many suggestions that the school consider a special spot for male students who had carried friends to school for many years. However, Hieu chose not to rely on his personal story to enter the lecture hall of Hanoi Medical University. He decided to study Medicine at Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy and continue his journey to conquer his dream of becoming a doctor with his own abilities.

After 6 years of studying and training in the medical field, Ngo Van Hieu officially graduated from Medicine in 2026. Not stopping at becoming a doctor, he continued to register for the residency exam at Hanoi Medical University, thereby having the opportunity to return to the school where he missed the appointment in 2020. At the residency exam at Hanoi Medical University in 2026, Ngo Van Hieu passed the exam. 20.76/30 points and ranked 293rd out of about 1,000 candidates. With this result, he qualified to participate in Match Day and chose to major in Diagnostic Imaging.

With the choice of majoring in Diagnostic Imaging and preparing to enter 3 years of residency training at Hanoi Medical University, Ngo Van Hieu is facing a new and challenging journey. From the student who once attracted attention for carrying his friend to school, he is gradually building the image of a young doctor through his expertise and efforts. After missing an appointment 6 years ago, he returned to Hanoi Medical University in a special way: not thanks to special treatment, but by the results of a journey of studying and taking the entrance exam full of effort.
