Not only shining at the club level, Van Thuan was also summoned to the U22 Vietnam team to prepare for big tournaments, including U23 Southeast Asia 2025. Initially, he did not have the name on the official list, but the opportunity came when Thanh Nhan was injured. Awarded the replacement, Van Thuan played efforts, despite missing an important scoring opportunity. This is considered as a valuable start for his career. At the age of 19, Van Thuan's eyes still have many important goals such as the Asian U23 qualifiers or 33 SEA Games. This determination is expected to help him confirm the foothold in the national team shirt. Not only fans, the coach also appreciated Van Thuan's talent. Mr. Velizar Popov - former East Asian coach Thanh Hoa - once said that this player has great development potential, even able to go to play in Europe if trained in an appropriate environment. This is a great encouragement for him on the path of pursuing a professional football career.
Currently, under the guidance of coach Tomislav Steinbruckner, Van Thuan was given the opportunity to play regularly and increasingly proving value. If he maintains a stable performance, he will have more opportunities to shine not only in V. League but also in the international arena, contributing to Vietnamese football to conquer new heights.
