Vadim Nguyen is becoming a name that receives much attention in the football village Vietnam when officially wearing SHB Da Nang before the V. League of League 2025/2026. Coming from Rostov training in Russia, possessing a good physical foundation and a modern style of playing football, the 2005 player is expected to become a new factor to help the Han River team create a strong transformation in the highest tournament in Vietnam.
Vadim carries two bloodlines when there are Vietnamese and Russian mother. It is this blend that creates a special identity in his style of playing football: both disciplined and strong from the European football environment, and skillful techniques that are typical of Vietnamese players. From a young age, Vadim has expressed his passion for the ball and was soon oriented by the family. He was taken to the young training furnace of Rostov Club - a famous place to produce many talents for Russian football.
The years of attachment to Rostov helped Vadim to accumulate valuable experiences, especially in terms of tactics and ability to handle balls in narrow space. In early 2025, he was officially named in the Rostov II squad, a youth team playing in the lower Russian division. This is an important milestone, proving his talent enough to compete in the harsh football environment. However, the opportunity to come to Vietnamese football has completely changed the career of Vadim.
On August 4, 2025, after a brief probationary period in SHB Da Nang, he was signed an official contract. This event quickly attracted attention because Vadim became one of the two overseas Vietnamese players in the squad of the Han River team. The recruitment of Anh is considered a strategic step to supplement professional quality as well as create more competition for the club's midfield. In the context of SHB Da Nang is trying to regain its position after difficult seasons, the appearance of a young talent like Vadim brings many new expectations.
In the first rounds of the V. League 2025/2026 season, Vadim Nguyen has been launched twice. Although the play time was not much, he could leave a certain imprint with the ability to move wide, support attacks and defense quite smoothly. Sang-sik coach, who is leading SHB Da Nang, assesses this young player has a lot of potential to develop, especially in the position of the winger. The strength of Vadim lies in the ability to speed up with short range and neat handling phase, limiting cumbersome touch. He can also be arranged in the center, thanks to the ability to observe and distribute the ball appropriately.
Owning a height of 1m75 and balanced bodybuilding, Vadim is enough to dispute in the area in the middle of the yard, and at the same time suitable for the kick that requires the flexibility of V. League. This makes him a versatile option, which can rotate many roles depending on the coach's tactics. Many fans believe that if given more opportunities, Vadim can completely become the strategic card of the Han River team in the upcoming journey.
Vadim's family background also received attention. For his father who is Vietnamese and Russian mother, he has the advantage of language and cultural adaptation. This is a factor that helps Vadim quickly integrate into the new environment in Vietnam. In fact, many overseas Vietnamese players often encounter obstacles in communicating and familiarizing their living style in V. League. But Vadim seems to have overcome this barrier thanks to its open personality and careful preparation.
Not only stops at the club level, Vadim Nguyen is also expected to appear in the U23 Vietnamese shirt. Sang-sik coach has repeatedly asserted that the team's door is always open to young players who show their ability. If continuing to maintain his performance and have more experience in V. League, Vadim can completely make a list of summons in the near future. This will be a golden opportunity for him to prove the ability and contribute to the development of Vietnamese football. The case of Vadim also reminiscent of previous overseas Vietnamese players such as Mac Hong Quan , Martin Lo or Filip Nguyen. They are all examples of taking advantage of opportunities to develop their careers in their homeland. If Mac Hong Quan was once considered an important factor of the national team, Filip Nguyen was expected to become the number one goalkeeper. Compared to them, Vadim still has a long way ahead, but it is important that he had a favorable start in SHB Da Nang shirt.
At the age of 20, Vadim's career was only in the beginning. The road ahead is certainly not easy, because V. League is a harsh tournament, requiring young players to maintain stability, fierce competition spirit and adaptability to many different tactical diagrams. However, what he has shown so far enough to create confidence in the coaching and fans. Moreover, Vadim's success also has great significance to Vietnamese football
