Best known as the steel pedal guitar leader of Robert Randolph and the family band. In 2003, he was named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the Top 100 Guitarists of All Time at #97.
In 2010, he made a guest appearance on Elton John and Leon Russel's song "Yes No Date" tomorrow." In 2013, he and his band released their fourth studio album, Lickety Split. It featured Carlos Santana guest appearing on the track "Brand New Wayo."
