Country childhood Thai Binh and the origin of his passion for art

Born and raised in the rice countryside of Thai Binh, in a family where no one followed the artistic path, Trinh Huyen from an early age showed a special passion for theater. The times she followed her mother to watch movies on the beach left a deep mark in her childhood memories of those days.

Every time she saw a performance, Trinh Huyen seemed to be drawn into the world of the characters. Returning home, she often stands in front of the mirror, recreating the eyes, gestures, and gestures of the roles she just watched. It was those very innocent moments that planted the seeds for her dream of becoming an actress, urging her to pursue art seriously and persistently.

Special fate with the People's Police Drama Theater

After graduating from the Acting Department of Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema, Trinh Huyen took the first steps on the artistic path at the Military Drama Theater. After three years of working, she participated in a number of roles but still did not have the opportunity to join the payroll, making the journey of pursuing her passion inevitable with concerns and challenges.

An important turning point came when the Military Drama Theater performed the play "The Call". At that time, under the audience seats was the presence of People's Artist Tran Nhuong, who at that time held the position of Head of the People's Police Drama Troupe. Convinced by the young actress' clear, natural acting style, he directly met and invited Trinh Huyen to the People's Police Drama Troupe to participate in the audition.

Even though he could not hide his anxiety in the new environment - where many young, talented and experienced actors gathered - Trinh Huyen still decided to take the opportunity. Her efforts paid off when at the end of 2003, she officially passed the exam and became a female People's Police soldier. This is a milestone of special significance in her life and career, associated with deep gratitude to People's Artist Tran Nhuong - the person who opened that important door.

New mark as a screenwriter

Not only stopping at the acting field, Trinh Huyen in recent years has also boldly tried her hand at being a stage writer. With her professional life and deep understanding of the image of a soldier, she has gradually affirmed her creative ability in a new area.

In July 2025, Trinh Huyen made her mark when she won the Silver Medal at the 5th National Professional Theater Arts Festival on "The Image of the People's Police Soldier" with the script "Facing" - a work staged by Hanoi Drama Theater. This achievement shows that her artistic journey is constantly expanding, enduring and rich in depth.
