As an investigative journalist, in the 1990s she became known for her writings on the East Timorese independence movement and her role as Chevron Corporation in Nigeria. Since 1996, Goodman has been the host of "Democracy Now!" - an independent global news program broadcast daily on radio, television and the Internet.
During her career as a journalist, Amy Goodman has received many awards including:
