In 2018, while having a dream job in the television industry, he decided to give up his journalism and communications career in the city to return to Da Lat. For Doan Quy Lam, that decision was also linked to the desire to escape from a stressful lifestyle and live close to nature.

After leaving the city, Doan Quy Lam chose a simple lifestyle, limiting disturbing factors and spending more time for himself. The natural space in Da Lat has become an important part of his daily life.

Life in a wooden house in the middle of the valley evokes a contrasting image to the years spent working as a journalist in a vibrant urban environment. If in the past, work was associated with schedules, events and deadline pressure, now he aims for a slow pace of life, focusing on presence in each activity.

However, living slowly does not mean stopping working. From his new living space, Doan Quy Lam continues to write books, produce content on social networks, share knowledge and organize meditation practice activities. Currently, Doan Quy Lam's social network channels attract more than 100,000 followers.

This change shows that he does not completely leave creative activities, but shifts the way he uses his time and energy to areas more suitable to his personal orientation.
