John Reed is an American journalist and writer. He is the founder of the Communist Workers' Party, the predecessor of the Communist Party of the United States in 1918.
He is the author of the famous work written about the Russian October Revolution called Ten days that shook the world of America. He traveled a lot and interacted with the working class a lot, so he understood somewhat about the difficult life they were facing.
