Sid Hartman is an American sports journalist for the state's Minneapolis Star Tribune Minnesota and AM radio station WCCO 830. He is a commentator. Sports Show 20-year-old sportscaster with Mike Max is shown weekly on Sunday night at 9:30 p.m. WUCW 23 in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. He also managed the Minneapolis Lakers professional basketball team that later became the famous Los Angeles Lakers team. Although not a writer, he is generally appreciated for his journalistic skills.

Raised in north Minneapolis and dropped out of graduate school to become a newspaper boy for the Minneapolis Tribune, in late 1945 he wrote the first article for the Minneapolis Daily Times, although Sid Hartman was trained as a full-time journalist. .
In 1947, Hartman became general manager of operations for the Lakers Minneapolis when he was only 27 years old. Years later, Hartman became a radio sportscaster and commentator on WCCO Radio Minneapolis.
On October 10, 2010, a statue of Hartman was unveiled outside the Target Center in Downtown Minneapolis.
