- Writer Son Tung participated in two resistance wars against the French and against the US, working in the fields of propaganda, propaganda, training, military, and reporter from 1944 to 1971.

- April 15, 1971 at Ta Not base in war zone D (belonging to Tay Ni province Nh), when Son Tung and his teammates were preparing to make a mold for a special issue of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, they were attacked by an American plane. He was seriously injured.
- After the war, he was a 1/4th rank wounded soldier, losing 81% of his health.
