Former United States Air Force Colonel remembered for being the last surviving pilot of the Doolittle Raid, the first American air raids on Japan during World War II. In June 1942, he received the Distinguished Flying Cross for his actions in the raids.
Colonel William Marsh's Bower Center in Shalersville Township, Ohio was opened in his honor in 2013.
