Legendary playwright and author who won an Academy Award in 1969 for writing the screenplay to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and several others in 1976 for his screenplay for the all-male President. He wrote the screenplays for the films Marathon Man and The Princess Bride, both of which were based on novels he wrote himself.
