Nguyen Thanh Ut is a hero of the Vietnam War and a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He used to hold the position of deputy platoon leader of 2nd company, 9th battalion, 570th regiment, 330th company.
Nguyen Thanh Ut lost his parents at the age of 10, he had to wander around to earn a living. The August Revolution was successful. At that time, he was only 15 years old, but he declared that he was old enough to volunteer in the army.
During nine years of fighting in the Southern battle, he fought in 42 battles. big or small, no matter what battle, in any situation, he always upholds the spirit of bravery and wisdom, always leading the unit to overcome all difficulties and dangers, successfully completing all assigned tasks.
August 1952, his unit was tasked with fighting the Battle of Seven Thousand, Nguyen Thanh Ut and the platoon leader volunteered to go ahead. Two people were immersed in the water, wearing duckweed, mysteriously entered the fortress, captured the stairs of the enemy's guard. The enemy troops upstairs counterattacked fiercely. The platoon leader was hit by a bullet and died, leaving alone, he remained calm and brave, resolutely fighting to block the enemy until our shock team rushed in to wipe out the enemy's numbers.
