Who is Politicians Trieu Tu Duong?
Zhao Ziyang is a Chinese politician. He was the former Premier of the People's Republic of China from 1980-1987. From 1987-1989, he was General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CCP). He is credited with leading the application of market reform measures to promote the development of China's manufacturing industry. He also found many solutions to solve the problem of bureaucracy and fight corruption. He was once the nominee who will succeed Deng Xiaoping, but for supporting the students. After participating in the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989, he was purged and spent the last 15 years of his life under house arrest.
Zhao Ziyang joined the Communist Youth League in 1932. He undercover as a member of the Communist Party during the Sino-Japanese war from 1937-1945, and the Chinese Civil War that followed. Since 1951, he has been a prominent figure of the Cantonese yaij Party, for having introduced many successful agricultural reform solutions. In 1962, he dissolved the cooperative system, with the aim of returning land to farmers. He also directed the purge of corrupt officials with ties to the Kuomintang. Until 1965, he held the position of Party Secretary of Guangdong Province, although not yet a member of the Party Central Committee. Zhao Ziyang supported Liu Shaoqi's reform measures, for that reason he was sacked as party secretary of Guangdong during the Cultural Revolution in 1967. He was then led to the streets of Guangzhou with a paper hat on his head, and was criticized as "a rotten relic of the landlord class". He spent four years living as a forced laborer in a factory. Until 1971, he was assigned to work as an official in Inner Mongolia, then returned to Guangdong in 1972. In 1973, he was given a job. -an-lai/bbhl">Premier Zhou Enlai restored to political status, was appointed to the Central Committee, then sent to Sichuan province to receive the position of first party secretary in 1975
Sichuan was a large province, but was devastated after the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution. Zhao Ziyang introduced many market-oriented agricultural reforms and achieved great success, increasing industrial productivity by 81% and agricultural output by 255 after 3 years. With the successes in economic reform in Sichuan, Deng Xiaoping viewed the "Sichuan Experience" as a model for China's economic reform. In 1977, Zhao Ziyang was elected as an alternate member of the Politburo, then became a full member in 1979. In 1982, he joined the Standing Committee of the Politburo.
In 1989, After Hu Yaobang's death, coupled with increasing economic difficulties due to inflation, many students and intellectuals arose in mass protest. Protests by students and intellectuals in an open political climate. But ironically, some of the criticism was initially directed at Zhao Ziyang. While those participating in the protest wanted an immediate end to the corruption situation, government hardliners were intent on coming up with a strong solution. At that time, Zhao Ziyang was in Pyongyang. Returning from Pyongyang, he repeatedly tried to steer the situation in a more positive direction by opening direct channels of dialogue between students and governments at all levels. He ordered the media to cover the protest at this level of freedom. However, Zhao Ziyang's reconciliation initiatives against student protestors were seen by hardline elders in the party as a step in accelerating the breakdown of the Party's form of governance. That's why there was a real disaster. Before 5 am on May 19, Zhao Ziyang was present at Tiananmen Square. He walked through the crowd of students protesting, holding a megaphone and delivering his speech. This speech was later broadcast on Central Television.
After Zhao Ziyang's visit to Tiananmen Square on May 19, the protesters still did not disperse. Prime Minister Li Peng declared martial law. And then there was a power struggle, resulting in Zhao Ziyang being stripped of all positions. After this incident, Zhao Ziyang was placed under strict house arrest, the position of General Secretary of the Party was assigned to Jiang Zemin, who later had many persecutions, protests, and brutal persecution of Falun Gong.
February 2004, Zhao Ziyang was hospitalized due to pneumonia. On December 5, 2004, he was again admitted to the hospital for lung treatment. On January 15, 2005, Zhao Ziyang fell into a coma after a stroke. On January 15, 2005, he died at a hospital in Beijing, at the age of 85. In Hong Kong, 10-15 thousand people participated in the candle-lighting ceremony in memory of Zhao Ziyang.
