In 1952, Diep Minh Chau was sent to study sculpture at the Czechoslovak Academy of Fine Arts. Here he studied monumental art in the Soviet Union and India. From 1956-1975, Diep Minh Chau worked as a lecturer at the Vietnam Fine Arts School. In 1957, he was allowed to study in India. During this time, he composed many works on heroic themes such as: The heart of the South, Hatred to Phu Loi, the indomitable South, Vo Thi Sau in front of the enemy, the South became a field, the mother of Vietnam... Towards the end of his life, painter Diep Minh Chau was able to complete his work. into the final work "Uncle Ho by the Lenin Stream" made of plaster material and the work "Uncle Ho with children" in bronze, this work is located at the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Painter and sculptor Diep Minh Chau passed away on July 12, 2002, at the age of 83.
