Meng Jia, better known by her stage name Jia, is a famous Chinese singer and actress. She is a member of the famous Korean girl group - Miss A. She is also considered one of the 4 famous Chinese beauties in entertainment activities in Korea, along with member Fei of Miss A. In 2016, her contract with JYP Entertainment expired and she officially left the group Miss A.
She was born into a family in China, and is the only child of the family. She studied at Seoul Institute of the Arts (Seoul Arts). She participated in an audition organized by the school and JYP Entertainment. Jia chose to perform a rap and a dance. She and Fei later became members of Miss A. She appeared in 2PM's music video, the song "My Color".
While still in school, she flew back to the middle and high school. with members of the group performed at many entertainment programs. Since the group doesn't have an official name, they are known to Chinese audiences as the JYP Sisters or simply "Sisters (시스터즈)". They are also known as the Chinese Wonder Girls. Initially, the band was active in China. They signed up with Samsung China to release the song "Love Again" at the Samsung music festival on May 20. In 2016, her contract with JYP Entertainment expired and she officially left the group Miss A.
After her contract with JYP expired, Jia A had her first solo activities in her hometown. On June 8, 2016, she held a press conference at a large hotel in Shanghai to announce to the media and fans in the country her development plans in the near future.
It is known that Jia will work under Banana Plan Entertainment (also known as Banana Project), which is a management company of EXID and T-ara in the Chinese market.
