At the age of 16, Thoai My completed the course and began to sing in many singing groups such as: Group 3, Doan Huynh Long, Song Be Group, Tran Huu Trang Theater... No matter what role was assigned, Thoai My completed it. in an excellent way. At that time, Thoai My fans were always eagerly waiting to see her transform through roles from evil roles, smelly roles, toxic roles, side roles, to children, old women... Each role, Thoai My left an emotion and impression in the hearts of the audience, that's why they loved and passionately watched her act from one role to another with the greatest enthusiasm.
At the end of 2003, while rehearsing the play Trial of Bang Quy Phi, while engrossed in the practice of jumping from a height, Thoai My fell very painfully. At first, she thought she had a sprain, so she still tried to suppress the pain to continue practicing with her colleagues, then many consecutive performances made her forget to treat her legs. Until one day, Thoai My felt unbearable pain, she had to go to the doctor and was informed by the doctor that her knee joint was broken, accompanied by muscular atrophy. At that time, Thoai My had to stay at a convalescent home. Every time I hear the sound of the harp in my ear, it reminds me of the stage and the roles. And when she got rid of her crutches, the first thing she did was run to the stage with emotions bursting with joy. Thoai My continued to practice the role of Princess Ngoc Han in the play Hon Tho Ngoc with the bronze to participate in the talent actor contest, and also with this role helped her win the first prize of the contest.
