Artist Nam Phi, whose real name is Le Thi Phi, is a famous reformist artist. She is the sister of the artist of the yard Seven Nam. When preparing for the ceremony, he bowed for the last time at the coffin of artist Nam Phi and cried loudly: "Co Nam has passed away, from now on, Nine Trich will no longer play music for anyone else". Having said that, he broke the lute. To acknowledge the sentiments of musician Chin Trich, when the grave was lowered, the artist's family members buried this broken guitar in her grave.

Artist Nam Phi came to the art of cai luong very early. It was the year Phi Phi was 10 years old, she was not literate, could only remember her name, but she was endowed with a good memory and intelligence and sharpness. She decided to follow this art but was opposed by her father. Her mother was very supportive, so her father was even more resentful. At that time, her father also decided to disown her, he even forbade everyone in the family to mention Nam Phi.
At the age of 11, she went to perform with the Nam Dong Ban singing troupe founded by Mr. Hai Cu and Hai Quan. Later, she joined many other troupes such as: Tai Dong Ban, Hi Van Ban, Phuoc Cuong.
At Phuoc Cuong, Nam Phi had many opportunities to show off her talents and with the performances of this troupe, her name became famous, she was also known by some audiences in France.

Her father is a bridge engineer, surnamed Le Cong, who is fond of words, so he chose the sentence "Cong Thanh Danh Toai, Phi Chi Nam Nhi, Beer Truyen Tac De" to name his 11 children. Later, her siblings had some famous people in the arts such as Seven Nam, Nine Bia, Muoi Truyen.
She is married to the artist Hai Gioi, who specializes in playing dual main roles. Mr. Hai Gioi is a talented but short-lived artist. He died early, leaving Mrs. Nam Phi in the state of widowhood before she was a teenager.
After performing at the Phuoc Cuong theater troupe, she and the band manager Nguyen Ngoc Cuong fell in love and decided to get married. But this marriage was only for a while, then broke up because of many conflicts.
After the couple's divorce, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Cuong remarried with Nam Phi artist's sister, Bay Nam, and they gave birth to an artist child Diamond.
She was last married to lawyer Huynh Van Chin, who loved her and stayed with her until her last breath.
