Who is Singer Phuc Tiep?
Singer Phuc Tiep, originally from Thai Binh, is known as one of the leading male chamber voices today, next to the predecessors of Vietnamese chamber music. With a strong, generous and powerful voice, he was also mentored by the late People's Artist Doan Tan and People's Artist Quang Tho, who treated him like a descendant of the family.
As a child, he was an extremely active and mischievous boy. Childhood and all the naughty games of rural children continued to grow with that skinny, black boy over the years. Because of being mischievous and playing more than studying, Phuc Tiep did not progress far on his educational path. His life might have become something very different from what it is today, if not for a major turning point.
That year, a young teacher accidentally discovered the artistic talent of a skinny, lanky student. She suggested that he go to the capital to practice singing. Listening to her words, the student packed his bags and went to Hanoi and learned to read music notes and his first professional vocal practice sentences under the guidance of People's Artist Doan Tan. Phuc Tiep officially entered the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (today's Vietnam National Academy of Music) for the 4-year vocal intermediate course when he passed the exam with a top score.
After participating in a number of music competitions and winning many awards such as: Second prize in chamber music "Morning Star 2007", Second prize "National Chamber Music 2009"... Phuc Tiep perseveres with love. towards scholarly music and is steadfast in keeping this music "fire" alive as a lecturer in the Vocal Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music. The male singer proudly affirms that he is a genuine "auditorium person" and that only when singing this genre of music can he be himself.
Because of the great love that Phuc Tiep has for chamber music, when he recently suddenly revealed about singing old music, even making an album about old music, many people were surprised. Sharing about suddenly turning to sing a different genre of music than his passion, Phuc Tiep confided that for many years now that he has had a certain position in the chamber music genre, he has wondered about how he still There's something missing in approaching the music listening community in general and it's time to make a breakthrough to mark your name in the flow of Vietnamese music. However, he told himself, no matter what genre of music he sings, no matter who he collaborates with, in the end it still has to have its own "quality", for example, there are a few lines that when sung, he can be himself. You and your voice must be truly "glass-breaking".
Phuc Tiep is known to the public and experts for his strong, generous voice. Along with classic chamber and opera songs, Phuc Tiep rose and affirmed his position as one of the quality, powerful voices of the Vietnamese chamber arts. Currently, he is also the person who spreads and maintains the fire of this scholarly music genre as a lecturer in the Vocal Music Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music.
