Who is The scientist Mary Leakey?
British paleoanthropologist, who has worked for most of his career in the Olduvai gorge, in eastern Africa, discovered tools and fossils of ancient hominines believed to be more than 3.75 million years old. She is also known for discovering Laetoli footprints as well as ifteen other new animals, and a new genus.
She discovered the first fossil cranium, an extinct ape now believed to be an ancestor to humans.
